1,740 kilos of hashish found in trailer of a truck port of Mahon in Barcelona
Port custom officials said the drug was in 30 kilo bundles hidden in cardboard boxes
The Civil Guard intercepted, on Saturday, 1740 kilos of hashish found in the trailer of a truck during the unloading of a ship from the port of Mahon in Barcelona and arrested the driver.
Port custom officials said the drug was in 30 kilo bundles hidden in cardboard boxes, and was detected by a trained dog during a routine control at the pier of San Beltran. The detainee is a 53 year old Spanish citizen of Villanueva del Rosario (Malaga). He has already been presented to the court and charged.
