BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Deputies said they seized 10 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and arrested four men during a raid.
On Wednesday, members of the California Multi-jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team, assisted by Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team, Gang Suppression Section, and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Team, conducted a narcotic investigation at 1700 East Truxtun Avenue.
During the investigation, deputies said Pedro Contreras, 29, Eulogio Lua, 40, Israel Magana, 34, and Miguel Torres, 29, were arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of sales, transportation of methamphetamine, possession of a vehicle with a false compartment, and conspiracy.
As a result of the investigation, deputies said they seized about ten pounds of crystal methamphetamine and a Honda Accord with a false compartment. The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $454,000.
