13,000 Pot Plants Seized In Western Wis.

    [IMGL="white"]http://llnw.image.cbslocal.com/0/2006/06/14/320x240/images_sizedimage_165160639.jpg[/IMGL]HAYWARD, Wis. (WCCO) ―Nearly 13,000 marijuana plants were seized and destroyed in a bust in northwestern Wisconsin on Saturday.

    The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office said the raid happened near Devil's Lake Road in Couderay Township.

    None of the five people authorities believed to be involved in the marijuana cultivation were present during the raid, but a gun was recovered. Authorities also uncovered a large marijuana grow.

    Agents with multiple sheriffs' offices, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the state Department of Natural Resources, the Division of Criminal Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Drug Enforcement Agency and border patrol agents were all involved in the operation.

    No arrests have yet been made.
