1. Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.

JAMESTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Fentress County Sheriff's Deputies have shut down a $5 Million manufacturing drug operation. Deputies say the operation was growing marijuana in Fentress County to be delivered to several states.

Chief Deputy David Oppenheim says his deputies have uncovered 3 pot houses across the county. He says it took months of investigating to build enough evidence to make an arrest.

"We had an idea that this was quite a major operation. These grow houses have been operating in the county for quite a number of years," said Oppenheim. "It was a rather large operation for us, I believe the largest in Fentress County history."

The three homes were in the Pine Haven, Clarkrange, and Banner Springs communities. Oppenheim says 4 people have been arrested. Deputies are not releasing the exact location of the homes or the people arrested.

Deputies say they believe there are more people involved in the opperation and that those people are probably from out of state.

My name is Jason Jones. I'm from Rochester, MN and I'm 35 years old. I scrap metal and work as grounds keeper at a local trailer park. In the winter, I shovel a bunch of driveways and sidewalks to make some extra money and to stay busy. In my free time, I try to find interesting articles about the war on drugs that I can post on Drugs-Forum, so that the information can reach a wider audience.

What a waste of police resources.

No wonder why the economy is going bust.

Seems very overexagerated. In the picture above many would estimate the value of those plants
    at around maybe $60,000 max.

The cops probably estimated the dope at 5million to save there jobs after wasting tax payers hard earned money.

Theres homeless people and children in the streets starving.

When are governments going to wake up to their idiotic policies.

Admitting to their failed war on drugs is one thing ...doing something about it another.

SmokeTwibz...you never cease to amaze me with these drug bust stories!

But ya, I agree...from the picture that room is not going to crop out $5 million. Could it be possible that the entire house (like every room) was used for growing? Think about 5 or 6 grow rooms cropping out 3 times a year...If so, that would produce a figure closer to what they estimated...but $5 million is a stretch to say the least.

I'm convinced that they ALWAYS over exaggerate the dollar amounts, but the picture from article probably isn't everything they found. It's probably the picture that whoever is in charge of their propaganda department picked to be the most likely to scare the massive herds of sheeple out there.
