Police in El Segundo, Calif., say an anti-drug activist was arrested after he allegedly sold an undercover officer what he said were drugs.

The Los Angeles Times said Saturday that police have accused Over the Wall Foundation director Kendall Craig Farris of selling what he claimed was methamphetamine and ecstasy tablets to an undercover officer.
Authorities said the items allegedly sold by the 47-year-old founder of the Marina del Rey anti-drug program turned out to be fake.
Farris was being held on $106,500 bail on charges of selling a substance that he alleged was drugs following Thursday's arrest.
The Times said Farris, a reportedly recovering alcoholic and addict, is also the author of "Drugs, Kids and Crime: Surviving Our Drug Obsessed Culture."

Haha what a fool. Talk about hypocrisy.

Be interesting to see what he has to say. Maybe he was doing research for a book.

Kinda like a preacher running a whore house.

The question is, was he a big dealer and used the anti-drug activism to cover his behind a bit more?

But as it seems to suggest he didn't actually sell and REAL drugs... hes just not the smartest guy around.

Also, SWIM wonders if his book ever actually got wide circulation / was any good. Could have just been for a quick buck to cash in on a market that is probably pretty lucrative. Alas, we may never know.

swiy said an " elite race of stoners junkies freaks " a very nicely put poetic insight into a very plugged in ( you might say ) group of good people .

the most interesting question is why did he do it. swim thinks his defence will be he was hands-on trying to tarnish the name of drugs buy selling fakes or trying to save a prospective buyers' soul.

He obviously has some perverse disdain for drugs/drug users, maybe he was just getting a cheap kick by ripping off the very people who he thinks are distroying society.

swim doesnt think he did this purely for monetary reasons but whether he did if for morality or pleasure swim cant decide.

Interesting thought... it shouldn't be too hard to put together a couple of hundredth pages on anti drug propaganda, in the lines of gateway drug, fried brains, and reefer madness; and selling it on amazon for a quick buck...
