Authorities find 171 pounds of cocaine at airport
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL -- It was a surprising discovery for officials at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport on Saturday.
U.S. Customs officials say they found 171 pounds of cocaine hidden within three bags on a luggage carousel.
Authorities say the drugs are worth about $1.5 million dollars on the street.
So far no arrests have been made.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents say they are not yet sure how the drugs made it into the country.
