A bank employee who started supplying cocaine after getting into financial trouble has been jailed for a year.
Mold Crown Court was told that 20 bags of cocaine with a street value of £640 were recovered in a raid on Michael Blackwell's Wrexham home.
Blackwell, 23, admitted possessing the class A drug with intent to supply.
Sentencing, the judge Mr Recorder Nic Parry told Blackwell: "A man in your position should be able to manage without resorting to drugs".
Prosecutor Elizabeth Bell said that a drugs warrant was executed by police at the defendant's home in February, and he was arrested later that day.
Twenty bags of cocaine containing 16 grammes were recovered with other drugs paraphernalia.
John Wyn Williams, defending, said his client was a man of excellent character who left school with 13 GCSEs.
He said he worked for the Inland Revenue and then a bank where he was doing exceptionally well, but he was facing financial hardship.
"That is no excuse but it is an explanation for why this young man who was doing exceptionally well suddenly fell into the use of drugs," Mr Williams explained.
It was claimed that he had come under some pressure from another more sophisticated to get involved in the drugs scene.
Mr Williams said Blackwell had provided the evidence against himself and had admitted possessing the class A drug with intent to supply.
The judge, Recorder Nic Parry, said Blackwell was an industrious young man of good character, and he was sure that at heart he was decent.
But he was also realistic enough to understand the gravity of what he had done, and the undoubted harm done by suppliers of class A drugs.
The judge told Blackwell he had acted as he did because "you saw an opportunity to make easy money".
