Some people might remember this song, it was a big hit back in the 90's, in the UK anyway. Its sort of a feel good guide, and some of the things he says are quite profound, and just really good general advice on how to live your life to the max and get rid of negative thought processes that might be unproductive. If I'm feeling down I usually listen to this.

Jebus Christmas, Phungy, you just made me sad & anxious by reminding me of that line! Fuck, I can't remember the last time truer words were spoken...

    *sigh*

An interesting side-note - The song was based on an essay called "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young", written in 1997 by Mary Schmich.

It's pretty ironic, because I remember not being too big on this song when it came out and never really gave it much thought. Now that I've aged 12 years, its a whole lot easier to appreciate and recognize how powerful this piece really is.

I guess, at least in my case, the advice which would probably just be wasted on the young truly was...

There's two lines to this song that really stuck though, and I sometimes find them running through my mind:
    ...And...
Such truer words have never been written.

    Thanks for posting this.
