Big cocaine operation near middle school busted, three guilty pleas

    LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Three Lubbock men plead guilty in a conspiracy to deal drugs near a Lubbock school.

    Ivan Muro admits to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.

    Guerrero Muro admits to one count of Possession With Intent to Distribute Less than 500 Grams Of Cocaine.

    Jose Delores Castillo-Mendoza admits to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute 500 Grams or More of Cocaine.

    Court records say a confidential informant contacted federal agents and said Ivan Muro was selling large amounts of cocaine from his home in the 2600 block of 33rd street, which is near Hutchinson Middle School.

    By investigating Ivan Muro agents were able to find Guerrero Muro, Castillo-Mendoza and other defendants in the case.

    Court records tie Ivan Muro to more than 2-kilos of cocaine.

    All three will be sentenced at a later date. Guerrero Muro faces up to 20-years. Ivan Muro and Castillo-Mendoza both face up to 40-years.
