Burglary suspect allegedly smokes weed using human brain

  1. Basoodler

A jailed Pennsylvania burglary suspect is facing new charges after allegedly using a human brain to smoke weed.

Joshua Long, 26, is currently at Cumberland County Prison, but the brain was found underneath the front porch of a vacant trailer in Penn Township.

When a family member contacted Long in prison to ask about the brain, he admitted that he and Zoller used the brain – which they named “Freddy” -- to smoke “wet” marijuana with the formaldehyde that preserved the brain.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration(DEA), smoking "wet" marijuana is increasing in popularity. Users soak joints in embalming fluid. After the joints are dried and smoked, users apparently get an added hallucinogenic effect – a dangerous move as the joints are extremely carcinogenic.

Cumberland County coroner Charley Hall thinks “Freddy” is likely a stolen teaching specimen, according to PennLive.com

Long now faces charges of abuse of a corpse, in addition to his alleged role in a string of burglaries. He is being held on $100,000 bail.

Fyi.. Wet = pcp not embalming fluid

Yes I'm still trying to figure this out. People really seem to think it is... I have a friend that works at a morgue and she is always getting hit up for the stuff.
Does embalming fluid really have psychoactive effects similar to PCP?
Or is this all urban legend?

And remember that embalmed head they found in the woods in Pennsylvania a year or two back? I wonder if the motive was the same.

I wonder if some poor kid has actually tried smoking embalming fluid because of stupid articles like this

Well....first off I never used the brain smoking method, but:
As a kid we smoked weed soaked in embalming fluid, it increases the high but gave me a killer headache after it wore off, unless you smoked more.
So, there ya go first hand experience.
We soaked (dipped) a joint then let dry overnight..smoked in the heat morning.

Ingesting formaldehyde is not only moronic, but it's pointless. There really should be a public service announcement of some sort that deters people from doing this. There is no psychoactive element in formaldehyde. If you think it increases the high, it is purely placebo imo.

If you're using a brain as a smoking utensil you likely need a brain. Hence the high bail.

This site needs a section that specifically calls out drug myths.

I say section because each one should have its own thread "heading" for ease of finding specific ones when the question arrises.

That would not only serve the intrest of harm reduction , but also give the media/le an outlet of information to stop this disinformation.

Kind of like a snopes of drugs..

Everything from this to red rock opium to krocodil epidemics in countries with no access to otc precursors

That way b.t.t.h. doesn't have to correct the associated press on a regular basis :p

That is really a great idea for harm reduction basoodler! It's kind of surprising that it hadn't been done already, come to think of it. And that is the mark of a truly important idea!

On a side note, the brainiac who smoked embalming fluid from a preserved brain kinda looks like a young "Freddie"

Is smoking human brain considered cannibalism?
