Capital police held 808 outlaws this year
The Islamabad Police have arrested 808 outlaws including 389 proclaimed offenders and 1,213 drug pushers during the current year and recovered looted items, huge cache of hashish, opium and wine bottles from them.
Police recovered looted items worth Rs543.5 million and 595-kilogram charas, 50-kilogram poppy, 17-kilogram heroin, 37-kilogram opium and 35,557 wine bottles from their possession.
SSP (Operations) Tahir Alam Khan has directed all the SHOs to use all available resources to curb the crime and ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens. He also directed to ensure registration of cases without any delay and resolve the public grievances as soon as possible. “Arrest of proclaimed offenders and court absconders should be ensured and their cases should be sent to courts after arrest at earliest.
