Actor and comedian Andy Dick, who has a history of run-ins with the law, was arrested early Wednesday outside a Murrieta restaurant on suspicion of sexual battery and drug possession.

Police said Dick, who was heavily intoxicated, grabbed and fondled the breast of a 17-year-old girl before pulling her top down in the parking lot of the Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar about 1:15 in the morning. The victim was traumatized by this," said Lt. Dennis Vrooman, spokesman for the Murrieta Police Department.

Police later found one gram of marijuana and one Xanax anti-anxiety pill in Dick's pocket. He was arrested and later released on $5,000 bail.

It was the latest in a string of encounters that Dick, 42, has had with authorities. The former star of the comedy series "NewsRadio" was cited last year in Columbus, Ohio, for urinating in public. He was kicked off the set of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for repeatedly touching fellow guest Ivanka Trump. In 1999 he drove his car into a telephone pole and was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.

Calls to his manager were not returned.

Vrooman said police had already warned Dick about his intoxication before he went to the restaurant. Officers had encountered the comedian while responding to an altercation at the Corner Pocket Sports Cafe in Murrieta about 9 p.m. Tuesday. They told him to leave or face possible arrest on public intoxication charges. He left with five or six friends.

Dick, who listed his address as Woodland Hills, told officers he was in town to attend the funeral of a friend's father.

Later that night, Dick and his entourage arrived at the Buffalo Wild Wings and began drinking, police said. He was recognized by several patrons, including the alleged victim, who approached him.

Vrooman said the girl, who is from Murrieta, tried to talk to Dick but backed off when she realized how intoxicated he was.

Sara Lidman, one of the restaurant managers, would say only that Dick was in the bar with friends.

Police said that when Dick left he spotted the girl and her friend in the parking lot and shouted, "There are the girls!"

"He groped her breast with his right hand, then pulled down her top," Vrooman said.

    The teen's friend called police.

When they arrived, they found Dick in the front seat of a Honda pickup truck heading toward a nearby Sam's Club parking lot.

Officers stopped the truck and forced all the men inside to line up so the girl could identify the man who allegedly groped her. She pointed to Dick.

A search of his pockets turned up the Xanax and marijuana. He did not have a prescription for the Xanax, police said.

Vrooman said Dick was belligerent at first and then answered officers' questions.

On Saturday, Dick was spotted at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina in Canyon Lake in Riverside County.

"My understanding was that he was drinking soda water and was not drunk," said Pepe's owner Marty Gibson. "There was no altercation that I heard of."

Dick was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, and he may yet be charged with public intoxication, Vrooman said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 12 in Murrieta.

This reads like a biography of numerous child-stars. Like Danny Bonaduce*. This guy is acting like a 14 year old. I'm pleased to say I've never heard of him until now. He needs counseling at very least. Drunk and groping young women? Der.....

*- an old friend of mine was from Hollywood and knew Bonaduce. She described, in writhing detail, an LSD trip Danny took. He was in the back seat of her car with other people and he freaked out - saying he was being attacked by little "Captain America's" climbing up his arms and legs. He was hysterical, in every sense of the word.

A Xanax, a gram of weed and a squeeze of a barely under-age age boob. This all seems massively controversial for such petty misbehaviour. He should literally get a slap on the wrist and be done.

Nah - being on TV does something to people's minds. They go nuts. It's quite common. Two words: Mel Gibson.

Mr. Dick is guilty of what SWIM considers a cardinal sin, that is, pushing narcotic onto someone who has been abstinent for a long time, especially a woman. It has always been SWIM's opinion that major KARMIC consequences result from bringing an abstinent soul back into the using fold. This is much magnified if the victim is female and even more so if a mother with child. Dick boasts that he shared coke with comedian Phyl Hatmann's wife Brynn, tipping her out of a prolonged recovery. Shortly thereafter, she killed her husband and herself. Fellow comic Jon Lovitz blames Dick for sparking the tragedy. Furthermore, Dick has already been given a mere slap on the wrist when he crashed his car into a phone poll while drunk and in possession of drug, the charges dismissed. SWIM interprets Dick's continuing troubles to be the haunting hell of KARMA's ghosts, exacting punishment to fit the crime, regardless of common law. This fellow is cursed. Some more info here:

The problem is this is the kind of thing that gives a bad view of decent, civil acting cannabis users. Now alot of the ignorant public that knows no better will be thinking "Oh all cannabis users are sexually harrassing fiends."Way to go for setting back legallization that much further Andy DICK.

Well as most people know in Alcoholics Anonymous you get coins awarded to you for each time you make another milestone in your abstinence. Like 1 week, 1 month and each year. So AA people pride themselves on the coins. Well I knew a bar that would accept an AA coin as payment for a fee drink. The program was limited to one time to get you started again. There was a sign in the bar.

SWIM knows someone who was supposedly fondeled by Andy Dick. A male, but he didn't seem to mind so much.

That's actually really sick because most alcoholics can't just drink casually and they try so hard to get the coins and if they ever don't think for a second when they are in that bar they will have troubles quitting again.

if Andy was still in his 20's, this wouldn't be as big of a deal, but he's fucking 42. grow the hell up. andy's crazy on and off camera, but you have to draw a line somewhere. the guy can probably get a ton of pussy, so let the one that's almost legal go. there's going to be plenty more (in his case atleast). as for the drug posession, it's not even worth charging him. obviously a head stash, he wasn't corrupting minors, or anyone, so let him go home and toke up.

LOL....yeah because people definitely take ANDY DICK as the view of the modern cannabis user....the guy is fucking nuts... lol...besides legalization has nothing to do with the people and you know it.

I think that celebs should have the harshest penalty ever thrown at them, they do infact lead a role modeling role in todays world. I always thought Andy was gay LOL I guess he likes boobies!

I believe Jon Lovitz punched Andy in the face during that incident, but can't remember where I heard that.

I don't care too much for Andy Dick and think he could probably lay off the drugs a bit. Don't know about how much blame you could put on him for Hartman's death, but I still can't really stand him.
