A drug syndicate has been busted following the seizure of 50kg of drugs worth nearly RM6mil from an apartment here.
During the raid on the apartment in Semenyih, police found a pistol, two magazines, two 9mm bullets, chemicals, 12kg of syabu, 12kg of ketamine and 27kg of various drugs.
OCPD Asst Comm Sakaruddin Che Mood said the drugs were seized following the arrest of two men and a woman at a house in Kajang in an earlier raid at about 11.30pm on Sunday.
The seizure is the biggest drug bust in Kajang so far this year. The suspects led police to the apartment where we found the drugs as well as drug processing equipment, he told reporters.
He said the three, in their 40s, are believed to be distributing the drugs in the Klang Valley as well as other places.
ACP Sakaruddin also said that two vehicles, four laptops and RM2,200 were seized from the suspects, who have been remanded until June 6.
All three are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
