Methamphetamine worth about $30,000 has been seized and a passenger on a Dunedin-bound flight detained today after a police operation in the south.
The Balclutha CIB and the Dunedin organised crime squad have been conducting a joint operation during the past six weeks in relation to the distribution of methamphetamine in the Dunedin, Clutha and Southland areas.
Three search warrants were executed in Kaka Point, Clinton and Balclutha today and a passenger was also detained on an incoming flight from Auckland to Dunedin this afternoon.
During the searches, the methamphetamine and other drugs have been seized by police, along with firearms.
Two 50-year-old men, one from Kaka Point and the other from Balclutha, and a 28-year-old Clinton man have been arrested. They will appear in the Dunedin District Court on charges of conspiracy to supply methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for supply.

Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
