Drugs seizures hit record high in Yemen last year
SANA'A, April 10 (Saba) – Yemen seized last year about 6 tonnes of hashish, 3 million drugs pills, 1464 cuttings and 150 seeds and 465 injections, a security report has noted.
128 crimes were recorded and 212 suspects including foreigners and Arabs, were arrested, some of whom have turned over to the judiciary and others have already been given sentences, according to the report.
The eastern Mahra province topped the Yemeni cities on seized drugs quantities, mainly trafficked from abroad.
