this story aired early this week on fox2news.
in Utah, a 25 year old mother was traveling in her car with her 18 month old daughter.
the car went off the road and landed upside down in the Spanish Fork River.
the accident was discovered 14 hours later by officers.
at first glance the rescuers assumed both the mother and the child were deceased.
but when they took another look inside the car, they saw that the 18 month old baby was alive!
she was upside down, strapped in a car seat, and submerged in freezing cold water!
and later was decided she was in this position for 14 hours!
the rescuers were treated for hypothermia, and they were only in the water briefly,so the fact that this child is alive is a pure miracle.
she is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
upon further investigation,a small amount of marijuana and unmarked Tramadol pills were discovered in the car.
there will be an autopsy, and a toxicology report done to determine what was actually in the mothers system at the time of this accident.
when the story was being aired the reporter said,"Tramadol,a medication known to cause seizures, was found in the car"
so one can assume theres a good chance tramadol will get the blame for the accident.
