Finnish police, customs confiscate drugs, equipment worth more than €8 million
HELSINKI — Finnish officials say they have confiscated drugs with a street value of up to €8 million ($10 million), in the country's largest drug busts to date.
Helsinki police say they found 132 pounds (60 kilograms) of Ecstasy as well as powder-mixing and pill-making equipment in the capital. Customs officers say they have confiscated more than 33 pounds (15 kilograms) of amphetamines in the western city of Turku.
Officials said Thursday that five people have been arrested in the cases. They gave no further details.
