Frequently Abused Ketamine Ranked Among Grade Two Narcotics
Bratislava, October 27 (TASR) - Ketamine, a drug used in veterinary and human medicine as an analgesic and anaesthetic and currently fashionable among people, will be ranked among the Grade Two narcotics (Schedule II to the 1971 United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances), based on a Narcotics Act amendment passed by Parliament on Wednesday.
The amendment also placed four new synthetic drugs 2C-1, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7 and TMA-2 - amphetamine derivatives having structural features of phenethylamines, associated with hallucinogenics and stimulants - on to Schedule I of the 1971 United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances.
At the same time, MPs replaced vice-chair of Health Care Supervisory Authority (UDZS) board Milan Povazan from his office (as his five-year term expired) with Gabriela Kaliska.
EDIT I am assuming 2c-1 was a typo on their part and it is meant to be 2c-I.
