The German laboratory THC-Pharm (in contract of the Frankfurt government) and a Austrian government lab have been working to find the active compounds in the following brands of incense and smoking blends:
Spice Artic Synergy
Spice Tropical Synergy
In all these product the synthetic cannabinoids JWH-018 and related compounds have been found (in different amounts)
The products Spice Gold, Spice Silver and Spice Diamond did not test positive for the presence of JWH-018 and related cannabinoids.
The German government is now going to review whether or not to ban these products, and how they will do so.
JWH-018 and related compounds are illegal in Canada and USA, under their analog laws.
The product spice has been available trough webshops and headshops since 2004. The lab results come after the product Spice was in the German and Austrian media on a daily basis since august. The media hyped the product as a trendy drug for young people. This has lead to a demand greater as the producer Psyche Deli could supply. German stores have been sold out since months.
Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
