Hollywood stars are expected to throw their weight behind November's ballot bid to legalise pot.

Including Jennifer Aniston, who has admitted being a smoker and even revealed that when she was married to Brad Pitt they indulged regularly. The former Friends actress pointed out, however, that she only ever smokes "in moderation".

Morgan Freeman said in an interview he has given up hard drugs but would never give up smoking "Mary Jane". At one stage, he referred to pot as "God's own weed".

Kirsten Dunst enjoys smoking pot. She said: "America's view on weed is ridiculous. The world would be a better place if everyone smoked weed."

Justin Timberlake has gone on record to say marijuana should be legalised. And fellow star Nelly has revealed he and Justin "enjoy partying together…and share a love for the green".

I think actors who do this deserve credit for their courage. They seem to have to guard their public images far more zealously than other artists - musicians, painters, and the like are expected to be Dionysian hedonists.

I guess it might be hard to suspend belief when the actor playing the nice boy next door just got caught doing blow off a transsexual hooker's engorged member... :)

Yeah, it's surprising to see some of them coming out and not just supporting legalisation but actually going on record to say the shmoke.

I would have thought they wouldn't dare say things that could damage their "investibility"
