Police have found a hydroponic cannabis set-up in a family day care centre garage in Sydney's west.
About 7.30am (AEST) on Tuesday, officers went to Monitor Road in Merrylands, where they searched a detached garage.
They allegedly found a hydroponic cannabis set-up, with six cannabis plants and approximately three kilos of dried cannabis leaf.
Police say the main part of the home was being used as a family day care centre, which has now had its licence cancelled as a result of the discovery.
A 39-year-old man was later arrested and charged with supplying an indictable quantity of cannabis.
He has been refused bail and is expected to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, police uncovered more than $570,000 worth of cannabis in Sydney's north-west on Wednesday.
About 9.25am (AEST), police searched a home in North Rocks Road, Carlingford.
After forcing entry into the single-storey house, they allegedly found six growing rooms and 287 cannabis plants with a potential street value of $574,000.
The home was unoccupied at the time and police are still trying to identify the owners of the property and the people who have been cultivating the plants.
