NICE -- Three men were arrested and detectives seized firearms, drugs and more than $73,000 after the service of a search warrant Thursday.
Lake County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force detectives served the warrant at a home on the 1900 block of the Nice-Lucerne Cutoff about 8:30 a.m., Sgt. Steve Brooks stated.
As officers approached the home, a man allegedly ran from the area.
Once inside the residence, detectives found and detained Mark Christopher Ramsey, 49, of Nice and Ricky Huie, 50, of Whitney, Brooks stated.
Detectives found and seized 215 mature marijuana plants, 660 pounds of drying marijuana and 181 pounds of processed marijuana, Brooks stated. They also located six rifles, four handguns, one gram of methamphetamine, three sets of night-vision monoculars, a money counter and $73,220.
New York resident Jamie Rodriguez, 39, arrived at the home while detectives were there, Brooks stated.
Rodriguez allegedly tried to drive away but was stopped and detained. Officers found methamphetamine and cocaine in Rodriguez's vehicle, Brooks stated.
Rodriguez was arrested and charged with possessing a controlled substance.
Ramsey and Huie were arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, being armed in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Ramsey was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
