Large quantity of hashish seized
ISLAMABAD: Customs Staff of Anti-smuggling unit, Nowshera on Tuesday recovered 985 kilogram charas and seven kilogram opium during the search of a vehicle near Swabi interchange at Peshawar-Islamabad motorway.
On a tip off regarding an attempt to smuggle narcotics, a raiding party comprising the Customs Staff of Anti-Smuggling unit, Nowshera, forced to a Toyota Land Cruiser (LHV-3659) to stop near the Swabi interchange at Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway on Tuesday morning.
Search of vehicle led to recovery of 985 kilogram charas and seven kilogram opium. Some persons, in three pilot cars, tried to impede the operation by customs and succeeded in fleeing away along with the occupants of the Land Cruiser.
