Two Ohio men who met a group of teenagers in a Taco Bell parking lot in September so they could all practice medieval sword-fighting (in a "LARP" [live action role-playing] session) were robbed of their marijuana after they tried to pull off a drug deal.
Sebastian Wozniak, 20, and Anthony Klier, 22, told police officers who responded to the scene that they had been robbed, but they neglected to say that the theft allegedly took place during a drug transaction.
According to police, Wozniak and Klier got into a car with the teens after the sword-fighting session was over with the intent of selling them $80 worth of marijuana. During the deal, one of the teenagers pepper-sprayed Wozniak, grabbed the grass and took off.
In their criminal complaint, Wozniak and Klier said they had been robbed but failed to mention what had been taken. After reviewing Wozniak’s phone records and interviewing witnesses, police determined what had happened.
Wozniak was charged with trafficking marijuana, obstructing justice and possessing criminal tools, whereas Klier was charged with trafficking marijuana and obstructing justice.
