A DRUG syndicate involved in the trafficking ecstasy, cocaine, methamphetamine and cannabis worth $2 million has been shut down after a year-long probe by SA detectives.
Operation Dactyl has resulted in 28 arrests with 90 properties searched and the removal of almost 90,000 street deals of the illicit drugs.
Detective Superintendent Scott Duval of the Drug Investigation Branch said police had found 14,695 ecstasy tablets, 187 cannabis plants, 15.8kg of dried cannabis, 39 grams of cocaine, 403 grams of amphetamine, 183 LSD tablets, four firearms, a heroin press, a cattle prod and $40,000 cash.
The more significant arrests included:
Two Paralowie men, aged 21 and 50, for possession of 10,000 ecstasy tablets.
A Northfield man, 21, for possession of 183 LSD tabs.
A Salisbury Downs man, 30, for possession of 990 ecstasy tablets
