Locked Up Abroad on National Geographic Channel explores the consequence of being jailed in foreign countries in telling real life stores of being imprisoned abroad. In Locked Up Abroad: Toyko, Jackie Nichols is locked up in Toyko after being caught smuggling drugs. Locked Up Abroad: Toyko debuted on NGC on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Jackie Nichols feld to Japan to restart her life after her fiance died in a car accident. In Japan, Jackie met a charming drug mule and she began to smuggle hashish with him. After four drug-smuggling trips together, their friendship fizzled and Jackie decided to go back home to America … but not before smuggling one last time alone.
Jackie got caught smuggling drugs and was sentenced to several years in a country known for having one of the world’s strictest prison systems. Jackie struggled to follow the incredibly severe rules — such as prohibitions on interacting with other prisoners and only being able to sit cross-legged or on her knees all day long — feeling like she was losing her mind . In the Toykp prison, Jackie changed completely, became a model prisoner and was released for good behavior after a year and half imprisonment.

Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
