Man Found Unconscious At Starbucks After Heroin Use

    A West New York man was found unconscious just before 3 p.m. in the Washington Street Starbucks last Friday afternoon, according to police reports, with three bags of powder that should never be put into a venti, half-caf, soy, iced latte.

    When the police got there, according to reports, Emergency Medical Technicians from the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Jersey City Medical Center had already arrived to take care of 25-year-old Jean Pierre Lopez, from West New York.

    After gaining consciousness, police said, Lopez admitted to having used heroin before passing out. In his book bag police officers found three small bags with a white substance—which turned out to be heroin—as well as drug paraphernalia, according to the police report on the matter.

    Lopez was taken to Hoboken University Medical Center. He was arrested and charged with possession and under the influence of CDS, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

    I bet that would have been a site to see. Sitting there sipping your cappuccino and the heroin head at the next table nods off into his latte! Should have drank that coffee sooner.

    Funny that they'd even make a news article out of it considering how common it is. Like "Man Bit by Dog in Boston Suburb"

    He was arrested and charged with possession and "under the influence of CDS", as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

    That probably should have been CD's, for "controlled drugs". A lot of the news story's found out there have terrible typo's.

    CDS = Controlled Dangerous Substance
