Media Personality Paul Ross Admits To Drug-Driven Gay Affair

ENGLAND - Paul Ross has admitted to having a one-year affair with a man but says he will continue to stay with his wife. The TV personality, 53, who co-hosts BBC Radio London’s weekday breakfast show and regularly appears as a showbiz reporter on This Morning, also admitted to snorting mephedrone up to six times a day during the affair.

Ross said he met Barry Olivier, 57, a former English teacher and father of four, at a popular dogging spot near his home in Maidenhead, Berkshire last year after suffering two years of financial difficulty and sexual impotence. The pair began a drug-fuelled affair that included taking up to six lines of mephedrone – also known as Meow Meow – a day at Olivier’s flat.

Ross, the older brother of TV host Jonathan, told The Sun on Sunday he paid Olivier up to £150 a week for the drug. “It was a dependency that got worse and worse – and I was then doing five or six lines of it,” he said. The TV presenter told the paper “it was all about the drugs” and his since cut ties with Olivier.
“I have started conselling for my drug addiction. I have had two sessions already. I can’t believe how stupid I’ve been,” he said.

His wife, Jackie, who he married in 2004, said she would stand by him despite his gay affair and drug-taking.
“I’m not wiping out a 14-year relationship for six months of madness; I’m not. Because I know he loves me,” she said. “I feel the sex was part of the mephedrone package, I don’t’ see it as a gay relationship. I see it as part of the drugs.”

Ross said: "Jackie has been an amazing woman through this. She is such a brave woman and she doesn't deserve what I have put her through."
