Mephedrone was banned in France (classified as narcotic) the 11.06.2010

    The french ministry for Health and the Sports accepted the proposal of the "Agence française de sécurité sanitaire des produits de santé" (Afssaps) concerning the classification of the mephedrone, drug of synthesis, like a narcotic.
    This decision, published in the Official journal this Friday June 11, intervenes because of the health hazards related to the absorption of this substance. According to l' Afssaps, the mephedrone could have psychoactive effects and involve a risk of abuse, of dependence and toxicity. The mephedrone can be marketed as "fertilizer" or "bath salts".
