Mitt Romney to wheelchair-bound medical marijuana patient: "I don't support medical m

A new entry has been added to News Coverage Videos About Drugs

    Description:
In this old video, an 80 lb man with muscular dystrophy in a wheelchair explains to Mitt Romney that his qualified physician believes that medical marijuana is the only medication that helps him. Mitt tells him he should take synthetic marijuana, and the man explains that this makes him violently ill. The man then asks Mitt whether he believes that he and his doctor should be arrested over medical marijuana, and Mitt turns his back on him and walks away. Lucky for Mitt, the gravely ill man in the wheelchair he was running away from after callously dismissing him wasn't able to chase him because he was so gravely ill. Lucky, lucky Mitt!

I remember that exchange... it was during the '08 election primaries if memory serves. As far as I can tell, Mitt the Twit hasn't changed one iota of his neanderthal attitude in that respect.

BTW, I didn't intend to insinuate, imply, or suggest, any disparaging insult against the esteemed neanderthals of ancient history, just the contemporary version. ;)

Mitt Romney can go fuck himself! Massive rep to the first person to present incriminating evidence on him to the media and take him down!

So I once worked Landscaping. We often did jobs in the town of Belmont, MA. We were working in the back of some rich guys yard. I had to pee but the guy wouldnt let me use his loo so I went in the bushes in the neighbors yard.
Done with me businesse I then returned to the yard to continue with work. My boss, smiling said to me, "Do you have any idea who's yard you just peed in is?.... Governor Mitt Romney!"

    Shanty: 1
    Romney: 0

    Take that!

Ron Paul has the best outlook on drugs in general. He actually understands that the war on drugs is and always will be a massive failure. Mitt Romney is bad in nearly all respects in my humble opinion. Please America don't pick this guy...

I agree with the above completely. Abandon this money hole of a war.

Also.. did he really recommend synthetic cannabis? As in K2??

No. This was from 2007 (pre synthetic cannabinoid craze). He was suggesting Marinol / Dronabinol.

If Ron Paul is not elected we will just see more of the same shit, people in government getting filthy rich off of the working class sweat. I believe he will change this corrupt system and expose the people and how they've been stealing from us. We need a massive change in function and size of government.

I agree with you there. Funny how the people that will bring the real change are looked down upon the most, while all the other candidates are all exactly the same as Bush and Obama. Not to say that they're good or bad, they're just all the same. No real change at all.

I always giggle when I see people in the Ron Paul Revolution thinking someone who actually believes the earth is 6,000 years old and we'll be totally OK with dismantlig the education system go on about how "he's going to change things for the best!"

You know why they call it a revolution?

Look at the other options though.. He's the only candidate west will at least do something for us. No ones perfect. Us Americans sure know that.

Re: Mitt Romney to wheelchair-bound medical marijuana patient: "I don't support medic

Maybe. But the president has no power to make or change existing law- that is the realm of congress.

Realistically, what he *may* be able to do is get the feds to back down in terms of medical marijuana. He could also arguably use his power to pardon to free drug users from prison. He might be able to restrict or end the US involvement in foreign drug interdiction/eradication (honestly I'm not sure how much power a president has over this). And he could bring the topic of drug reform to national attention. But these could all cause a major backlash as well- he is a republican more in name then practice, and republicans in congress are much more beholden to their base who would likely be enraged by any of the above moves.

But it is also worth noting he has served in congress off and on for 35 years. During that time he sponsored 620 measures. Of those only 4 ever made it to a vote, and only one (H.R. 2121, in fall 2009, which allowed for the sale of a customhouse in Galveston, Tex) ever became law. He has little power or allies in Congress, and a good deal of his support base is on the far right and do not support his views on drug reform.

I mean really- if you look at the "red state/blue state" election maps, you'll find an alarming correlation to red/republican states that tend to have draconian drug laws, vs blue/democrat states that tend to have more liberalized laws.

So you will vote for the same ol'shit because you get your information from MSM. You and other Obama people will be the first ones whining when the economy completely dissolves, "WHERES MY HANDOUT CHECK?"
Nobody is claiming Ron Paul will get everything done that he wants but he has a way of motivating people to get involved in government and demand things be done to stop the demise of the country. The federal reserve bank has been stealing our money since 1913.
If you did a little research, you might just find the truth rather than listen to the lies spewed by Obama the destroyer.
