A Chester County, Pennsylvania, woman was arrested last week after she allegedly admitted to injecting her 14-year-old daughter and her daughter's 16-year-old boyfriend with heroin.
Jessica Lynn Riffey, 34, was charged last week with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, drug delivery and various other charges, Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan said in a press release Monday.
"Supplying anyone with heroin is a potential death sentence," Hogan said in a statement. "Injecting children, including your own daughter, with heroin demonstrates a depravity that defies belief."
Police took Riffey into custody after responding to a welfare check at her West Caln Township home on Thursday. The teens told police that their mother had injected them with the drug multiple times and had given them the drug to snort as well, according to a criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE.
Riffey's boyfriend, Jameson Burn, 33, also faces charges for drug dealing. Riffey told police that it was Burn who pressured the two teens into using heroin.
Riffey is being held on $50,000 bail at Chester County Prison. Burn remains at large.
