Mt. Juliet Police Find Cocaine During Traffic Stop
MT. JULIET, Tenn. - More than $250,000 of cocaine was off the streets Thursday morning after two traffic stops by Metro police and Mt. Juliet police.
After stopping a Chevy Tahoe for speeding on Interstate 40 Wednesday afternoon, Mt. Juliet Police found eight kilos of cocaine concealed inside a spare tire underneath the SUV.
Metro police earlier stopped a Chevy Impala in West Nashville that they believe had been traveling with the Tahoe.
Police charged the driver of the Tahoe, Rodrigo Leon-Castillo from Katy, Texas, with trafficking cocaine. Police believe he may have been headed to Washington, D.C.
