MUP: 1.25 tons of drugs seized in 11 months
Addressing a news conference in Belgrade on Wednesday, where he presented the results of the ministry and police (MUP), Dačić said that the seized drugs comprised 135 kilos of heroin, several tons of marihuana, 17 kilos of cocaine, 16 kilos of hashish.
He pointed out that according to the information provided by the Serbian police, a total of 1.2 tons of cocaine had been seized across the world (I believe this is a translation issue and its supposed to be "country" not "world" in the past 18 months, and reminded that the Security Information Agency (BIA) had taken part in the seizure of over two tons of cocaine in international waters.
Dačić underlined that 28 criminal groups involved in drug trafficking had been tracked down in Serbia, and that 118 of the total of 133 members of those groups had been put behind bars.
