Eight arrested in major drug bust in Greater Victoria
Victoria and other regional police forces collaborated on a "significant" drug bust this morning.
Almost 100 officers raided five residences in the West Shore and Saanich starting at 5 a.m. today and arrested four men and four women. All eight are in custody.
Victoria police spokesperson Sgt. Grant Hamilton said the eight people are involved in a large drug trafficking scheme in Greater Victoria. Officers worked undercover for three months to gather enough evidence to launch the raid.
During the drug bust, firearms, drugs and cash were seized from the homes. Hamilton said the group were primarily involved in dealing cocaine on the South Island.
Police will not release the names of the people arrested until they have been charged. More information is expected to be released later this week.

Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
