New Hampshire mall worker, 23, charged with providing young teens with alcohol

The Concord police have charged a 23-year-old man with several offenses after he allegedly met two teenage girls at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester and arranged to meet them at one of their homes in Concord, where he provided them with alcohol. The girls were 13 and 14, the police said in a statement.

Kristofer Brendel of Methuen, Mass., faces two charges each of prohibited sales of alcohol and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as two driving violations, the police said.

The Jan. 11 incident was reported by a parent who went to the home looking for one of the girls, the police said.

“She observed a male subject inside the house drinking with the girls,” the police said. After the mother confronted the man and told him the age of the girls, the police said, the man fled. The girls told the police they had met the man at the mall, where he worked.

Brendel was arrested Monday and released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due to be arraigned March 24 in Concord’s district court.
