Officers with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and High Point Police Department seized 172 pounds of marijuana during a drug bust Tuesday.

Sheriff David Grice said the seizure wasn’t a record for his department, but admitted, “It’s one of the larger ones.”

Adriana Yanet Rodriguez Valdez, 29, of 195 New Castle Court, Thomasville, was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $100,000 secured bond. Her trial date is July 27.
