An Ottawa man's attempt to sell a look-alike drug landed him in La Salle County Jail.
The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team met with Shane Ross, 23, 606 E. McKinley Road, in the parking lot of an Ottawa business on U.S. 6 Wednesday. Ross chose the location to meet an agent and complete a sale of LSD.
Once Ross arrived with purported LSD, he was arrested. It was determined what Ross delivered was not LSD as he said it was. During the interview, he admitted he knew it was not LSD.
Ross was charged with unlawful delivery of a look-alike controlled substance, a Class 3 felony, that carries a prison sentence of two to five years. He also was cited for resisting arrest.
Also Wednesday, police arrested Christopher Sexton, 18, with addresses listed as both 209 E. Superior St., Ottawa, and 69 Chicago Road, Oswego, on complaints of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful consumption of alcohol.
Ross and Sexton were taken to La Salle County Jail.

Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
