A 51-year-old city man was arrested Thursday after police allegedly found seven bags of heroin stashed in his buttocks.
Larry Blackwell, of 4 Merritt St., was charged with illegal manufacture, distribution, sale or prescription, conspiracy, sale within the distance of a school, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession near a school and criminal trespass.
He was arraigned Friday in Norwalk Superior Court and held on $25,000 bond.
Officers spotted Blackwell trespassing in the Roodner Court public housing complex late Thursday morning and stopped him for questioning because he is not a resident at the complex, police said. Police reports note that Blackwell is "suspected of selling large amounts of heroin."
Blackwell was patted down and only a crumpled $20 bill was found in his pockets, police said.
However, police noticed that his belt was not buckled and his pants were sagging past his "underwear area," according to police.
Blackwell was taken into custody for criminal trespass.
At headquarters, Sgt. Charlie Perez authorized a strip search and a plastic straw commonly used for snorting heroin was found in the waistband of his underwear, police said.
Before they could conduct a cavity search, Blackwell admitted to having multiple bags of heroin in his buttocks, and he agreed to remove them, police said.
