VENEZUELA - Venezuelan authorities have arrested a 37-year-old Portuguese woman for attempting to travel from Caracas to Lisbon with more than four kilos of cocaine strapped to her body.
The would-be drug mule is identified as Carla Batista, who according to newspaper Correio da Manhã is believed to be from Oporto. The woman was detained by Venezuelan authorities and found to have 20 packages of cocaine strapped around her stomach and legs.
She was attempting to board a TAP flight to Lisbon.
