HEREFORD, TEXAS -- A Hereford man gets himself arrested after he told police he was a "self-employed drug dealer."
The Hereford Brand reports Raymond Ray Nieto Jr. walked into the police department Saturday to clear up what he called misinformation about a crime he was allegedly involved in.
Here is what led to Nieto's undoing he listed his employment as "self-employed drug dealer," which of course got him arrested.
Nieto faces a list of charges, the crimes he was trying to clear up include a beer run and auto theft.
Police believe Nieto may have been involved in a crime spree over the weekend that involved a chase with a DPS trooper that ended in Umbarger. In that incident authorities arrested Anthony Mejia, for his alleged role in an auto theft in Lubbock. Police were looking for three others they believed were involved. Nieto, is alleged to be one of the three that police are looking for.
