A teenager who claimed he saw angels after taking legal party drug Space-E has been found hanged with a bible by his side.

His mum claims the rave pills which cost just £6.99 drove her son to kill himself.

Luke Cowan, 17, was found hanged after taking Space-E pills.

The pills, a type of plant food, cost £6.99.

His body remained hidden for 11 weeks in dense woodland after he had attended a music festival.

He had left a Bible nearby with a note which said: "I saw an angel last night and now I'm with Jesus."

His mum Michelle Knight, of Newport, told The Sun: "I definitely think it contributed towards his death. Luke was a wonderful son and loved by so many people.

"Yet as soon as he took this substance his mood altered. I'm convinced it caused hallucinations which meant he took his own life."

According to the newspaper, one shop advertises Space-E pills saying: "Launch yourself into a night of rocket-powered psychedelia. Space-E will open your eyes to a new world."

It is reported that they can contain mephedrone - which causes heart problems, loss of feeling in limbs and insomnia, among other things.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned after Luke's body was found last week.

Two men aged 49 and 32 were held in July on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm in connection to alleged supply of "legal highs".

    They have been bailed.

Another day, another pile of bullshit in the British media. They churn this stuff out like a factory. Personally, I blame all this Bibles and angels rubbish. Delusional people do delusional things.

(Fuck, I said "rubbish" again. I'm running out of words to describe this...uh...)

Sparkles thinks the mental illness would have found this poor man, even if the pills hadn't. But it's automatic now when someone dies in "suspicious" circumstances. If there's no cause, blame a drug they might have taken, after all, everyone's taken some type of drug in the last couple of weeks.

People are variable, drugs are a constant. If this had been an over the counter substance then i doubt it would have made the news. My heart gos out to his family too, its very sad.

Well the UK is already making all the necessary arrangements to ban GBL, Mephedrone, BZP,etc....See 'Legal highs' set to be banned and The War on Designer Drugs: Britain Bans Legal Highs

Bizarre. That's quite the change in blame there.

A LEGAL party drug drove a teenage boy to kill himself, his mum claimed last night.

Tragic Luke Cowan, 17, was found hanged after taking mind-bending Space-E pills at a music festival.

His body remained hidden for 11 weeks in dense woodland.

A Bible was nearby and a note read: "I saw an angel last night and now I'm with Jesus."

Space-E pills, a type of PLANT FOOD, cost £6.99.

One store advertises them saying: "Launch yourself into a night of rocket-powered psychedelia. Space-E will open your eyes to a new world."

It can contain mephedrone - which causes heart problems, loss of feeling in limbs, nausea and insomnia.

Pals said Luke took the drug at the Isle of Wight Festival in June. He vanished days later from his home on the island.

Last night his mum Michelle Knight, 42, of Newport, claimed the Space-E was to blame.

The mum of six said: "I definitely think it contributed towards his death. Luke was a wonderful son and loved by so many people.

"Yet as soon as he took this substance his mood altered. I'm convinced it caused hallucinations which meant he took his own life." An inquest was opened and adjourned after Luke's body was found last week.

Last night cops confirmed two men aged 49 and 32 were held in July in connection to alleged supply of "legal highs".

They were quizzed on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and bailed.

That was the wrong image of the product I had originally posted. I have corrected it now. The product that the kid died on contains Mephedrone.

    Space-E is mephedrone right?
Mind that this does not relate to Happy-Caps space-E, but to the product on the pic above.

Okay with conatining mephedrone its another story...
  11. Nature Boy
So what's going on here exactly? I checked this thread a while ago and there was a different picture and there was no mention of mephedrone. Everywhere I look I see fearful reports about mephedrone. I'm guessing it will be banned pretty soon but any bad side effects I've heard of have been purely physical, not psychological. This gets weirder and weirder. Obviously this media circus isn't anything to go by but, from what I'm reading, mephedrone is coming across as the biggest scare drug ever. Far worse than ecstasy hysteria, hard to comment on acid seeing as I didn't live through the hayday of anti-LSD propaganda. I guess the authorities are spreading as much paranoia as possible in order to get this banned as soon as possible. There certainly won't be enough time for sufficient scientific investigation to make a rational decision about its future status.

^^I posted a picture of the Space-E Happy Caps and not the ones containing Mephedrone. That's why there is the correct pic now

Boy's body in woods was grieving teenager Luke Cowan

A body found hanging in woods is that of a grieving teenager who disappeared two weeks after the death of a beloved uncle.

Luke Cowan, 17, had been missing since June, when he left a note telling his family how much he loved them.

Friends and family carried out large-scale searches and handed out leaflets. Luke's parents Michelle Knight and Larry Cowan made several appeals for information.

The body was found by a dog-walker in dense woods at Shanklin, 10 miles from Luke's home in Newport, Isle of Wight, on Tuesday.

At the scene was a bible and an order of service from the funeral of Luke's uncle Samule Cowan, who died of pneumonia aged 44.

Yesterday Mrs Knight said: "I think Luke wanted to be with his uncle again. They were best friends and used to go walking together."

Police said: "The coroner has been informed. The death does not appear suspicious."

    First news a media fake?
  15. The Visitor
Perhaps this is what the teen actually wanted.

Does one have the right of life or death over his/her material body? Isn't that what ultimate freedom would be?

Of course, i don't think personally, that a 17 year old person should end his life for whatever reason. Nor that he has the maturity to judge.
  16. chillinwill
Doubt it. The article posted by nibble was on September 3rd and the other two are September 8th probably after more information came out of the incident. Mephedrone is under heavy fire in the UK.
  17. MisterV
The news about taking his life after his uncle died seems more reasonable to SWIM. In SWIMs opinion everything being touched with mephedrone is used for their "bad-drug-campaign"!
  18. thegooddr
what ever his reason's were to take his own life i hope he finds the peace of mind in the next world that he could not find in this one.

    R.I.P. luke

    show some respect miggeth.
  19. pride345
    Of course, Rest in Peace.

Now that is out the way, I am absolutely sick to death of the media+gov't always targetting the drugs. I really don't understand why they do. Why do they not target religion after these terrorist attacks? they have the same approach with drugs. Am I missing something?

And also, in a DEMOCRACY where we have LAW and supposedly JUSTICe, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE to be sent to prison for INGESTING a substance?? Be it weed or mephedrone or whatever?

I hate the double standard and hypocritical nature of democratic states like the UK, when they comment on other countries. (btw, my personal view is everybody should have democracy and I do not respect any countries violating human rights, but is it really right to be hypocrtitical??).

    Sorry for the rant! :)

    My first thought too.

It looks to me that what killed him was an overload of indoctrinated shame and insanity.
