A teenager who claimed he saw angels after taking legal party drug Space-E has been found hanged with a bible by his side.
His mum claims the rave pills which cost just £6.99 drove her son to kill himself.
Luke Cowan, 17, was found hanged after taking Space-E pills.
The pills, a type of plant food, cost £6.99.
His body remained hidden for 11 weeks in dense woodland after he had attended a music festival.
He had left a Bible nearby with a note which said: "I saw an angel last night and now I'm with Jesus."
His mum Michelle Knight, of Newport, told The Sun: "I definitely think it contributed towards his death. Luke was a wonderful son and loved by so many people.
"Yet as soon as he took this substance his mood altered. I'm convinced it caused hallucinations which meant he took his own life."
According to the newspaper, one shop advertises Space-E pills saying: "Launch yourself into a night of rocket-powered psychedelia. Space-E will open your eyes to a new world."
It is reported that they can contain mephedrone - which causes heart problems, loss of feeling in limbs and insomnia, among other things.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned after Luke's body was found last week.
Two men aged 49 and 32 were held in July on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm in connection to alleged supply of "legal highs".
They have been bailed.
