1. Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
    PLEASE HELP

The United State is a broken country. The document that started this nation, the Constitution, is no longer followed or even respected. Our economy is collapsing, our freedoms... gone. It's amazing really, you wouldn't think less than two dozen men with box cutters and fake bombs lead by a man on dialysis could destroy what was when they attacked, the greatest country on the planet, but they did.
Soon after 9/11 on September 26 the White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said, “There are reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say [Say doesn't the first amendment to the Constitution say something about not “abridging the freedom of speech,”?]. It took almost no time after we were attacked that we started to curb our liberties, we passed the “PATRIOT” act, we started to wire tap our own citizens, we even suspended the fourth amendment on October 23rd 2001 “The Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) issues an opinion that says military operations combating terrorism inside the US are not constrained by Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures.” Hell we currently are debating whether or not it's okay to torture! In the United States I know this isn't a subject that is debated and anyone advocating torture is considered a nut.
Our economy is in shambles, true it was hurting before we were attacked: Lord knows a huge trade deficit with money leaving to oil exporting nations and China weren't helping us, but the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, according to a Congressional budget office estimate back in 2007, mean that an additional 2.4 TRILLION dollars will leave the United States [for comparison it will take the failed war on drugs 200 years of 2005 spending to reach that number]. Our nation is bankrupt we throw our money and liberties away like they are nothing... and we are left with none of each.
The British Empire couldn't defeat us, the Japaneses bombed Pearl Harbor but we came back, and we took Germany twice... but a few Extremist Muslims destroyed us.
