Two men charged in apartment drug bust
Two men are facing charges after Winnipeg police seized an assortment of illicit drugs at an apartment suite yesterday, a spokesman said today.
Members of the street crime unit seized the drugs, which were on display at a press conference this morning, at a suite in the first 100 block of Donald Street.
Police said the officers found 542 tablets of ecstasy, 43 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), six grams of MDMA (powder ecstasy), 15 grams of ketamine, which is known as a date-rape drug, seven grams of marijuana, $500 in cash and packaging material.
Police also seized several hits of acid.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $13,500, police said.
Police said a 19-year-old man faces charges of possession of ketamine and possession of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking.
A 22-year-old man faces four counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, and single counts of trafficking ecstasy, possession of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.

Both men were released on a promise to appear in court.
