Ukraine’s secret service, SBU, has exposed a chain of dealers who traded mood-altering drugs on the web, SBU press service says.

Disguised as smoking mixtures and tea, the drugs were sold via express international goods delivery system.

The drugs were supplied to Ukraine from South-East Asia and one of the EU countries.

Sept. 25, 2010, the SBU detained two Ukrainian drug dealers when they were receiving a parcel containing one kilo of especially dangerous MDPV and JWH 018 drugs.

SBU found 50 packets with drugs when the dealers’ homes were searched.

The drug chain was set up in 2009 by the two 23 and 24 year-old suspects, who received orders via the world net and were paid using an international payment system. The chain also consisted of about 10 drug pushers in Ukraine.

If convicted, they all face between 5 to 10 years in jail.

This is particularly interesting , because AFAIK both MDPV and JWH-018 are legal in Ukraine. I'm not sure but if I remember correctly drugs in general may be illegal in Ukraine. Maybe our members from the Ukraine can fill us in on the facts.

With 50 packs seized totaling a kg of material, this seems hardly an amount for a secret service to do a full blast investigation and to toot your horn about.
This press release has been published by the Ukraine government & embassies around the world. Its clear that they want the word out that they are acting heavy handedly on research chemicals.
