Lombard, IL —Villa Park police charged two men with possession with intent to deliver illegal drugs this week, after conducting search warrants on several homes in the village.
Police said they executed search warrants Wednesday on two apartments at 404 N. Villa Ave., where they took two people into custody after finding 146 grams of cocaine, 102 marijuana plants, 300 grams of marijuana, 45 Ecstasy pills, numerous other prescription medication pills and $2,033.96 in drug proceeds.
During that search, police found information that led them to believe more marijuana plants would be found at 18 N. Summit St., according to reports.
Officers obtained a search warrant, recovered 11 grams of cocaine, 36 marijuana plants and 600 grams of marijuana, and arrested another individual at that address, police said.
In the end, police said they charged two of the three individuals arrested.
Michael Gore, 33, of 404 N. Villa Ave., was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, a super class X felony; possession with intent to deliver Ecstasy, class X; possession with intent to deliver marijuana, class 3; and possession and production of marijuana plants, class 2.
Juan Hernandez, 34, of 18 N. Summit, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, class 1; possession with intent to deliver marijuana, class 3; and possession of more than 20 marijuana plants, class 3, according to officers.
The heaviest charge, a super class X felony, is punishable by nine to 30 years in prison and fines of as much as $500,000, according to the Villa Park Police Department.
