A Boynton Beach woman's day went from bad to pretttaayyy craptacular (and deservedly so -- allegedly!) when she pulled the stolen car she was driving into a parking lot filled with cops.
Tesia Cain allegedly stole herself a car that just happened to have a LoJack tracking system.
She also just happened to pull the car into a Boynton Beach Walmart that just happened to have over twenty police officers who just happened to be there doing some charity shopping.
She also just happened to have marijuana found in her wallet.
Her boyfriend just happened to be in the car with her and just happened to have a loaded .45 caliber handgun on his hip.
Cain also had her three children in the backseat -- ages 5, 4 and 4 months -- and they just happened to not be wearing their seat belts.
Now Cain, 22, just happens to be in jail.
According to a police report, Cain was driving a 2006 Camry that had been reported stolen and was was being tracked by police. She pulled up to the Walmart at about 3 p.m. Wednesday. There she was stopped and apprehended. Her boyfriend, Dwayne Durham, 24, was sitting in the back seat with the children, with the handgun on his hip, according to arrest reports.
When cops asked her where she had gotten the car, Cain told them that she had borrowed it from a friend -- even though, for the life of her, she could not tell them her friend's phone number or address. Police confirmed that the car had been reported stolen.
Cain is now facing grand theft auto, possession of marijuana and child neglect charges. Durham, meanwhile, is facing charges of armed trespassing within a conveyance (the conveyance in this instance just happens to be a stolen vehicle).
When questioned by police, Durham said he didn't recognize the car Cain had picked him up in, and didn't bother to ask his girlfriend where she happened to get a 2006 Camry.
The children are now with their father.
