Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 3 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
SWIM has found in her experience in dealing with just a few people, that due to the very nature of the amphetamines she enjoys, and the fact that they are filled once a month only, she can only get her hands on a certain amount which are gone within a week or so. This means SWIM has to find ways to kill the rest of the month. Sometimes she just stays away from pills altogether, sometimes takes advantages of the opiates which are around at different times of the month (thankfully for the pocketbook, or SWIM would have to choose between up and down).
SWIM already has a naturally high tolerance to feeling high, so she doesn't want to just find multiple people to help her out, and this at least forces her to take a break. However she does tend to know the exact days when something will be around and start making phone calls a day or two before to reserve something.
What do SWIY'all do when it's dry? How do ya'll SWIMmers kill the time?
Swim almost looks as it like a blessing. When Swim runs out of say clonazepam script, he just looks at it as a time to lower the tolerance, so when he gets his next refill he will have basically no tolerance and the fun can begin all over again. Sometimes he will take Soma (carisoprodol) as that is easy to obtain. Sometimes he will just get drunk a few times a week. He does not necessarily go searching for something, but if he finds out if some other drug is around (painkillers, amphetamines, LSD, coke, etc.) he will grab a few. He never runs into any withdrawal symptoms and likes it that way. Mixing up the types of drugs is a great way to keep the tolerance down for all drugs.
If swim has nothing in his possession, not even weed, he will just tough it out and deal with. Play some video games, watch some movies, go running, etc.
When swim cannot get opiates (his drug of choice), he drinks. His favorite drugs are opiates, alcohol, and benzos in that order. At the present, swim does not have unlimited access to opiates. His main hook-up died a few months ago (RIP) and now can only get them a few (5-6) times a month on average. There is no heroin where swim lives, only RX dope. Swim doesn't always drink when he's on opiates. He doesn't need to. When Swim has can't get any though, he drinks. Four or five times a week, usually a 6 pack or 12 pack of beer. He drinks either because of bordem, anxiety, depression, or just simpily wanting to get loaded.
In the long run though, swim finds only having opiates a few times a month to be a blessing in disguise. His tolerance is way lower (he can feel 10 mg hydrocodone) and the highs are even more enjoyable. It also gives him something to look foward to.
