Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 3 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
SWIM is currently on 35ml a day of methadone. What SWIM is interested in knowing (hence asking this board of immense knowledge) is should SWIM not take his methadone in the morning as SWIM usually does and then make some tea, or should SWIM make some tea first and the take his methadone? Will SWIM get a better high taking the methadone afterwards?

Reason: editing out duplicate info
If you are taking methadone daily it really does not matter what time of day you take it, you're going to have all the previous days' methadone dosage in your system already. Methadone has a really long half-life, between 24 and 36 hours. This means that at least a day (if not up to a day and a half) after taking your dose, you're still going to have half as much left in your system. If you add on all the previous days' dosage, it works out that at any one time you're going to have about twice your daily dose of methadone in your system:
So as you can see, skipping your morning's dose in anticipation of getting an effect from the poppy tea is not going to make much of a difference.
As it stands, you're not on that high a dose of methadone, certainly not a dose that would be regarded as a blocking dose in terms of its effect on heroin use. I do not know what effect this would have on poppy pod tea, however. It is my feeling that such a strong opiate as methadone, which binds to the opioid receptors so tightly, would pretty much block the effects of the much weaker poppy tea. Poppy tea is full of all sorts of different opioid alkaloids, and it might be the case that you feel an effect from the thebaine, for example. I'm thinking that it is unlikely, however. But please be careful, do not take a huge amount of poppy pods in the hope it may overcome this blockade, as you could easily overdose, what with the combined effect of the methadone and the poppy tea.
Please let us know how you get on with this, as I'd be interested to know if poppy tea could have an effect on top of a daily methadone dose.
PS - I've edited out the second part of your post, as you have already posted those questions in another thread.
Many People think they need a lot, so they do but the Opiates are to weak
to break the affinity from the Methadone, the Opiates will look for alternatives to dock in
and this will be inside the Respiratory System!
Swim'd think the poppy tea might not have much effect do to your methadone tolerance. Swims heard of methadone "blocking" heroin and morphine, but swim never noticed this. He's never been on the clinic but he's taken 3 or 4 of the waffers (40 mg) and shot dope and got very high. Felt the dope rush and everything. Swim doesn't think it will matter when swiy takes his methadone. If swiy been taking it steadily for awhile he'll have built up a continous amount in his system (that's the idea with methadone treatment).
