An acquaintance of a friend wants to inject powder coke
. He went to a needle exchange and got a kit (came with needles, alcohol
swabs, sterile water, little sterile "dishes" to use instead of spoons, filters, vitamin c powder).
He did a bunch of research, and tried skin popping a couple times, but he wants to try mainlining. He has done tons of research and has a general idea how to do it, but he seems to not be able to find a vein. He thinks maybe part of the problem is 1) he can't see or feel them (he doesn't know how to find them by touch) and 2) he isn't sure exactly where to look (other than the general area of his forearm).
Can SWIY provide advice please? Every time he tries to inject, he finds he hasn't hit a vein and ends up skin popping. It's working OK, but he wants a rush.
Note: The acquaintance of my friend cannot snort cocaine
because it makes him throw up when it drips down his throat into his stomach (not from the taste, but it irritates his stomach). He found something in a "Safer Injecting guide" about an alternative to injecting where you remove the needle from the syringe and insert it into your anus and squirt; it was about as effective as skin popping, but is kinda gross.
krykzoid added 4 Minutes and 48 Seconds later...
The main reason the acquaintance of my friend wants to IV instead of skin pop is he is concerned about skin abscesses.
