Does alcohol clean your system?

SWIM is not super informative about how to clean one's system fast. He's been told to drink lots of water or cranberry juice. He's heard certain vitamins can make one's urine yellow so it doesn't look like you are trying to produce an inconclusive.

He knows that Alcohol produces frequent urination. However he wonders if it can be used along with water to speed up the process of cleaning your system.

Can anyone clarify this for him?

Re: Does alcohol clean your system?

Read in detail the drug testing guide at the top of the topics list.

I was sort of thinking the same thing about alcohol. Especially since it is a solvent. But, I think it would all depend on what you were trying to clean out. I'd think that alcohol would tax your liver to the point that it wouldn't be able to get anything else out of your system. The solvent properties may clean out some stuff, but the stress on the liver makes it hard to get anything out, so I'm not really sure.

Most tests that I've seen can detect alcohol up to 72 hours after ingestion. So it would have to be done earlier.
